Cookie Policy
Version: 1.0 (draft) Effective date: [DATE]
[NOTE FOR PRODUCT: this document must be reconciled with what the site actually sets. Audit the running site and update the tables below before publication. Publishing a cookie policy that does not match reality is worse than not having one. In particular, confirm whether any analytics, pixel, or embedded media cookies are currently in use.]
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. This policy covers all of them.

Advertising
We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not permit third-party advertising networks to collect information through our site, and we do not run advertising pixels on our registration flow.
[NOTE FOR PRODUCT: if a Meta pixel, Google Ads tag, or similar is ever added, this section and the Privacy Policy both need revision, and given that our audience is parents of minors, that decision deserves scrutiny before it is made.]
3. Third-party content
Some pages embed content from third parties — video players, social feeds, maps, and links to Top25Scouts, Hoop Verified, and our merchandise store. Those services may set their own cookies when their content loads. We do not control them. Consult their privacy policies.
Known embeds: [LIST — YOUTUBE, INSTAGRAM, GOOGLE MAPS, ETC.]
4. Your choices
Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing a registration.
Our preference control. [DESCRIBE — a cookie banner is not currently implemented. If analytics cookies are in use, one is likely needed. Flag for decision.]
Do Not Track. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals, as there is no common standard for doing so.
5. Children
We do not use cookies to build profiles of children, and children do not have accounts on our site. Our registration flow is used by parents and guardians.
6. Changes
We will post any updated policy with a new version number and effective date.
